Get Listed In GoogleYou have decided to start a business online, you have found a product to promote, you have set up your website and launched it on the web and you are ready to take orders and make sales. Still, there is one problem, no one finds your website on the web. If you want to get visitors to your website you need to get listed in the search engines. What can you do? You may submit your website to the search engines and to wait weeks, maybe months, to get listed, or you can get listed instantly with these three steps:

1. Write an article related to the topic of your website. If you have not writing skill you can hire a ghostwriter. Keep the article short, between 300-600 words. Make sure that you give out valuable information that anyone would gladly post on their site as content. Don’t try to sell some product or service, remember, your goal is to get a valuable link back to your website, not to make a sale. Actually, if you try to make a sale in the article, most article directories and webmasters will not publish your article on their site. The main goal of writing articles is to get your articles on as many websites as possible with a link pointing back to your site.

2. Include in the resource box at the end of your article a link to your website. Again, don’t try to promote your product or service in this resource box. The main point of including this resource box is to get a link going back to your website. The secondary purpose of the resource box is to get readers of your article to click through and visit your website. When including a link in your resource box, make it a text link that includes the main keyword of your home page. Keywords are a fancy term for the phrase or words a visitor will type in to find your website. Make the keyword the clickable portion of the link instead of your web address. Put this keyword text in between your html anchor link.

3. Once you’ve created your article, submit it to the major article directories. Many web masters looking for fresh quality content will republish your article on their websites, so you get the article distributed on as many websites as possible. Do these three steps and search engines will find, crawl, then list your website in their listings. You can get on the first page on Google in less than twenty four hours. If you want more exposure, open accounts to the major social bookmarking sites and submit your published article there too. It’s as simple as that!

Note for the blog commenters: If you have any idea related to this topic, I would be happy to hear it in the comments section, if you want to spend two extra minutes. Of course, I am aware that this is also an opportunity for you to get a back link to your website. But, please, do not abuse. Put a link to your website or blog only if it is related to the topic, (otherwise will be not counted by Google), and don’t put more than one link, or it will be deleted automatically. Anyway, all the comments will be reviewed by admin before publishing, and, although I will accept all the criticisms to myself or to my posts, I will not allow a language other than the G-rated one, so use your opportunity wisely. Thank you for being my readers!
