One of my favorite traffic strategies is article marketing. Maybe is alittle bit slower than AdWords but as a long term business strategy is amazing. Your articles can be read after years from publishing, the exposure you get is fantastic, considering that you get back links and readers not only from article directories where you submit your articles, but also from the websites where your articles are reprinted, and finally, you can establish yourself as expert in your niche.

How article marketing works today? Article marketing means writing articles related to the topic of your website, and submitting them for publication online. There are many online article directories that publish articles for the purpose of disseminating good information, so people have a chance to read your article.

What makes article marketing effective is the possibility to include a link back to your site at the bottom of the article, in the so called “resource box”. When the reader has finished reading your article, if he likes your style and want to know more about you, he will click through to your site. Now, if you set this process up for maximum list building effect, you will have that link go to a squeeze page that collects their information first, then they will directed to your site after they have submitted their name and email address, or you may set up an opt-in form on your website directly.

One mention about giving away information in your articles. Some people are not willing to giveaway their best information, especially if they sell information on their web site. Remember that readers will evaluate your for-sale information on the quality of your free information. If you are just giving away useless information, the reader will assume that that is the same quality information he will receive from you when he will pay you for it.

You can write about anything that gives your potential customer information that they can really use. Keep in mind that your success consists in providing good information. Remember, your primary purpose when writing is to compel the readers to click through to your squeeze page, submit their name and email address, and eventually become a purchaser of your product online.
