will show you now some tips on how to find the best
affiliate programs Both, and physical products and
virtual products, are all over the place, all you have to do is to pick
the right affiliate programs and to promote them in order to make money
online.
You don't need money for that. You may find affiliate programs to promote in the so called Affiliate Directories, which offer you all what you need, for free.

An Affiliate Directory is the place where the products owners are posting their products to be sold and where the affiliate marketers goes and select the affiliate programs which they want to promote. Some of these affiliate directories allow you to open an account and without having a web site, some of them not.
You may promote products and without a web site, practicing the so called "direct linking", to send the client directly to te product's site, but I do not advise you. You are loosing the contact with the costumer and you may be tricked regarding the number of sales.
Another way to make money online is to promote directly the web hosting company where you are hosting your website. All of them have and affiliate programs and you may subscribe for free.
The largest and the most popular affiliate directory online is Clickbank. They don't ask you to have a website, you may open an account for free, you may find only e-products to sell here, and you are paid every two weeks. The advantage is that they are making the payment through their own system, you don't have to deal with the owner of the product. Their payment system is excellent, and you may use it and to sell your own products without exposing them into Cickbank Marketplace.
Onced you sign up, you may visit the Marketplace, where you will find a large variety of affiliate programs, mostly selling e-books, softwares and making money programs, but there are a lot of e-books and in other domains, like weight loss, fitness, solar panels, etc.
Clickbank is probably the biggest affiliate network on the Internet. Their Alexa ranking is currently 406. But just having an affiliate program that big doesn't mean you are going to be successful with it. The key to making Clickbank work for you is to know which products to sell. Clickbank actually makes this very easy if you know what to look at. Each product in the Clickbank marketplace listings has 4 indicators as to the performance of their products. These are the stats for a product:
PAYOUT STATS: $earned/sale , %earned/sale, %referred, gravity.
Let's take a look at each stat one at a time so you understand what you are looking at.
$ earned per sale - This is the average amount of money you make for each of these that you sell. It’s an average because it includes refunds.
% earned per sale - This is the average % earned for each sale.
% referred - This is the percent of sales for this product that comes from affiliates.
Gravity - This is probably the most important stat of all. This is a weighted sum of the number of affiliates for this product. That show you your competition.
Okay, now I am going to give you some tips on how to find the best affiliate programs, a formula for each category.
$ earned per sale - You don't want to sell ANYTHING that will pay you less than $15.00 per sale. Less than that, it is not worth it because of costs.
% earned per sale - If anybody offers a commission of less than 50% then you don't want anything to do with that either.
% referred - This is where it gets a little tricky. You don't want to compete with a % referred over 90%. If you have got a 90% referred, that means almost all the sales are coming from affiliates and even if there aren't too many it will still be hard for you to make sales.
Gravity - This is another critical one. You don't want to compete with a lot of affiliates. So you want gravity numbers that are between 10 and 75. If it is less than 10 you don't want to touch it because it is probably not a very good product or too new to tell if it's good if very few people are selling it.
If you stick to the above guideline, you should have a very successful time of promoting Clickbank products.
You will see also that those affiliate programs which are promoting services or more than one product are specifying and the ammount of the next sales. This means, for example, that if an affiliate program is selling a membership with two degrees of upgrade, and one is more expensive than the other, you will find the sales prices for both options, and if the membership suppose a monthly or yearly tax, it will be also notified.
Another good affiliate directory is Internet Marketing Center. With an Alexa ranking of 1,295, this is one of the most popular sites on the Internet for affiliate marketers.
Their products come with a high price tag but they are more than worth it, and your commissions will be huge by selling these products. You also make a good commission off of your affiliates you sell products under you.
The product list isn't huge, but they are all big ticket items. If you are thinking who's going to spend this kind of money, trust me, they are out there. This company brings in millions and it has to be coming from somewhere.
One more affiliate directory is Implix Affiliate Program. I must say that Implix is the home of Getresponse autoresponder, which is one of the most popular ones on the Internet.
So if you think you can't sell their products, think again. Their current Alexa rank is 27,622. These aren't big ticket items that they sell but they are good products and easy to sell. Their products are primarily for Internet marketing and they have just about the best around. In addition to the best selling Getresponse autoresponder, there is Website Wizard, which is actually fairly new and offers a 30% recurring commission. Then there is also the Hyper Tracker, a tracking software that literally blows Adminder away. You can use the smallest URLs with this and the tracking itself is top notch. This is also 30% recurring commissions. And of course there’s more.
Here are some tips on how to find the best affiliate programs. These are easy products to sell because they are not too expensive and they are very good. They don’t have a big inventory of things because they make sure that what they put out is the kind of quality you can't get with companies that sell hundreds of products. For the moment, they don't have a link for the headquqrter, but yes, they have a list with the products which you can sell. Their best products at this moment are:
Another big affiliate directory is Commission Junction. Not less famous than Clickbank, this is an affiliate directory for larger online sites, like eBay, Dell, Apple. You may also sign up for free, but they do not accept you without having a web site. You may find both, physical and digital products, and services of course. You must wait some time to be appproved your account, generally 24 hours, and you may be rejected.
Some other affiliate directories are: PayDotCom. Linkshare, Affiliates Directory, Affiliate Scout, Associate Programs, Affiliate First, etc. I didn't tried this all these sites, as far as I know you may sign up for free with them. I am not saying that their affiliate programs are bad, but, with the variety of products from Clickbank, it's hard to think that you can not find a product to promote and you must search further. If you want to do it, be my guests.
Here are some more tips on how to find the best affiliate programs. There are also and a lot of private affiliate programs, which are not promoting their products through affiliate directories. They prefer to do it by themselves, and I must say that there are few which are pretty good. The problem is that you don't have the guarantee which you have with Clickbank for instance. You may not be paid for the sales made through your site. Someone could lie, pretending that the visitor didn't bought nothing, and someone could pretend that you didn't respected the terms and conditions of their affiliate programs.
